From the outset, when Malta based architect Chris Briffa set about designing his own home, it was a labour of love. Transforming this 17th century house from top to bottom, and then adding a penthouse home extension, was never going to be without it’s challenges! After 5 years the transformation was complete with the lower part of the building containing the practice studio and offices with the penthouse as home.
The old versus the new cannot fail to draw breath. The expansive living space, despite being built in concrete, manages to flood with light and feel playful and liberating. Fitted with Silent Gliss Metropole curtain track systems SG 6130M and Venetian blind systems SG 8910, daylight is welcomed and managed at the same time!
